The secret of joy Manila’s street children

2 k zobrazení • 1. 10. 2014 • 34:01

In Manila, the capital of the Philippines, many slum children live on the streets abandoned by their families and are easy prey for predators of any kind. The charity ANAK-Tnk, 'a bridge for children' run by a French priest Matthew Dauchez, works to take children away from the streets and help them build their future. In the heart of all their distress they experience a light that is rooted in Christ and stronger than anything else.

Přímluvy

We pray for all street children in Manila and around the world with the prayer of Darwin Ramos: 'Lord, when all hope leaves us, when our burdens are too heavy and we can't go on, stretch out your arms to us, heal and console us. We humbly ask for your Spirit of love'.

Slovo měsíce

The Word this month is from the Gospel of John, chapter 16, verse 22:
"So it is with you: you are sad now, but I shall see you again,
and your hearts will be full of joy,
and that joy no one shall take from you."
