The next World Youth Day is to be held in Madrid in 2011 - from 16th to 21st August. The Spanish capital is already making preparations to welcome 2 million young people from all over the world.
The International Ecumenical Fraternity will be there and in this film we invite you to see how God is at work in these events.

Since 1984, the World Youth Days have brought together millions of young people from all over the world. Celebrated every year on Passion Sunday in the Catholic dioceses worldwide and every two or three years internationally in a specific country, the WYD was instituted by Pope John-Paul II who was the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church for 26 years beginning in 1978.
From Buenos Aires in 1978, and then Santiago de Compostela, Czestochowa, Denver, Manila, Paris, Rome, Toronto, and Cologne, down to Sydney in Australia, in 2008, 25 World Youth Days have been celebrated.

How did WYD begin ? What is that attracts young people ? How does God intervene ? How are we to respond to Jesus’ call « Come and follow me » ? The film adresses these four questions, demonstrating the power of the Gospel and showing how it gives meaning to life.

Ce film est réalisé par la Communauté du Chemin Neuf via le réseau international de prière « Net for God ».
