Ecumenical dialogue has been developing for decades primarily between the Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican and reformed churches. However, now the explosive growth of Evangelical and Pentecostal churches, particularly in the South, has brought significant change to the global Christian landscape. In response to this, the Global Christian Forum was formed in the early 21st century. It is an open space, where all Christians, from both ancient and newer churches meet and experience that their love for Jesus Christ is stronger than the walls that separate their institutions. It is a strong sign of hope for the visible unity of Christians, providing a common witness to the world.

Intercession du mois

Lord, we pray for the Global Christian Forum, in particular its work for our persecuted brothers and sisters. Help us to move towards unity in our world suffering from divisions. Raise up workers of unity in our churches and Christian communities who by their special relationship with Christ, can build links and form a huge network across the world. Teach us to overcome our prejudices, moving towards others and seeking dialogue with them, so that your kingdom is built. Help us to believe that the martyrs have not shed their blood in vain and that their lives will become seeds of unity.

Parole du mois

After that I saw that there was huge number, impossible for anyone to count, of people from every nation, race, tribe and language: they were standing in front of the throne and in front of the Lamb, dressed in white robes and holding palms in their hands. They shouted in a loud voice, 'Salvation to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!'.

The scripture passage this month is from the book of Revelation (7, 9-10)
