Taybeh, a Call for Peace

Taybeh, an arab village in the West Bank situated 30 Kms north of Jerusalem, is a unique place because of its population, comprised entirely of Christians, and because of its vocation for peace at the heart of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
We are going to meet the inhabitants of this village who share with us their difficulties but also their hope, their mobilization for peace through prayer, through multiple initiatives favouring non-violent action, and through openness to others.
Father Raed, who has been the Catholic priest of this village for a long time, has greatly contributed to its radiance and it development. He introduces us to the past and the present of this town, which is the biblical village of Ephraim - where Jesus stayed with his disciples before his Passion (cf. John 11, 54).
