« Brother Roger’s Offering » (English)

This film is about the life of Brother Roger of the Taizé Community.
Brother Roger is the founder of the Taizé Community in France. He was assassinated on 16th August 2005 (the opening day of the World Youth Days in Cologne) by a deranged woman during evening prayer, in the midst of his brothers and the young people who were praying with the Community. It was a terrible act, but in it we can see a trait that confirms the whole of Brother Roger’s life – an offering.

The film is above all a testimony in which Brother Roger speaks of certain essential episodes of his life and of the ecumenical vocation of the Community.
