She died on 12 February 2005 at the age of 73, murdered by hired killers contracted by large landowners whose abuses she denounced. Her life continues to bear fruit today, inspiring many local initiatives for the protection of biodiversity when farming the land. Hers is an authentic witness to the commitment to 'integral ecology' advocated by Pope Francis in the encyclical Laudato Si'.This film takes us to Anapu, in the Brazilian state of Pará, to meet those who knew Sr Dorothy, including her religious congregation - the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
